Soaring to New Heigths, Building the New Economy

The 30th Annual Convention & Business Expo will take place from September 16th to the 19th, 2009 in Denver Colorado.

Over the span of four days, the USHCC will host a variety of workshops, chamber training and business sessions focused on building business relationships and creating procurement opportunities for participants from all industries.

This year is the USHCC's 30^th anniversary. Since its creation in 1979, the USHCC has encouraged, promoted and developed more than 2.5 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. At this year's Convention in Denver, we are looking forward to celebrate the success of all the Hispanic-owned businesses and the more to come. The USHCC will keep providing Hispanic business with technical assistance, promoting international trade between Hispanics and Americans, and increasing business partnerships between the corporate sector and Hispanic-owned business.

At the USHCC we understand the value of procurement, and this year's theme, Soaring to New Heights, Building the New Economy best summarizes our unique initiatives to promote the following:

     • Advocacy

Our main mission at the USHCC is to actively promote the economic growth and development of Hispanic entrepreneurs and Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. As advocates for the Hispanic business community, the theme at this year's convention is meant to inform and encourage Hispanic businesses to tap into the “green” way of doing business. This year's convention will continue to promote environmentally friendly practices on creating wealth, identifying procurement opportunities, and securing and sustaining long-term business growth.

For those executives and corporate leaders wishing to secure one of a kind access to the country's fasting-growing and most influential community, we invite you to participate in the country's largest gathering of Hispanic business owners!

CONVENTION HIGHLIGHTS

• The 30th Annual Convention & Business Expo officially begins on Wednesday, September 16, 2008, with a welcoming reception in the Denver Newspaper Building.

• On Friday, September 18, 2009, the Annual Expo Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 8:45 am.

• On Friday, September 18, 2009, the free one-day Business Expo features nearly 300 exhibitors including an International Pavilion, Procurement Pavilion matchmaking sessions and the USHCC Foundation's Small Business & Workforce Development Pavilion.

The Convention culminates with a special Awards Ceremony to celebrate and recognize the achievements of local and statewide Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, extraordinary Latina and Latino business leaders and entrepreneurs, and corporate advocates on behalf of the Hispanic Business Community.
