Our Mission
LatinoVision Media is a news media organization founded in San Francisco, California in 2002 as an alternative source of cultural, political, scientific, and economic information and analysis for Hispanics in the U.S. and the world at large. We serve as a professional communications resource for publishers, communicators, artists, filmmakers, writers and journalists dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage of Hispanic cultural, political and economic issues in this country, as well as up-to-date and informative national and international reports from Latin America.
For almost a decade, LatinoVision Media has been developing communications projects and synergies that have taken us far beyond the traditional role of Spanish-language news and media organizations —the gathering, interpreting and disseminating of information— to creating alternative venues for collaboration among media professionals and Latino communities who otherwise might never share or receive information about financial and economic decisions that affect their businesses and lives.
Our Objectives
LatinoVision Media’s objective is to create content —Internet, print, film, radio— that integrates ethnic and mainstream media, along with exploring new media forms and state-of-the-art technology, creating what has become the trademark of a new and dynamic journalism that reinvigorates American news media and its plurality of vision.
LVMedia’s editorial platforms are designed to advance Hispanic journalists and writers into relevant positions in society and the news media by providing them with the information, resources, and connections they need to succeed in presenting analysis and news of Hispanic interest and perspectives. LVMedia's groundbreaking projects, innovative research methods and support of Hispanics in the media help them develop their talents, divulge their work, and advance in their profession. LVMedia’s editorial platforms and resources are used by media professionals in the U.S. and Latin American countries, and reach more than 1 million Hispanics in the media worldwide.
Our ulterior aim is to integrate and explore new media forms and state-of-the-art technology, and to share this media platforms with other professionals and publications who do not normally have access to it. Our bilingual editorial platforms publish news and in-depth analysis of cultural, business, technology, and political issues and events for a wide general audience, and for Latin Americans in the U.S. and beyond. LVMedia not only produces and publishes high quality articles, essays, and up to date reports on political, and cultural news and trends, but also serves as a resource center for media and business professionals and as a public forum to initiate and expand the discussion of specific topics of interest for the Latin American community at large.
